Our Journey
VIKASANA is a grassroots NGO established in 1988-89 with a mission to empower rural communities—especially women, children, farmers and tribal groups—across Karnataka. With over three decades of dedicated service, we have grown from serving 5 villages in Chikmagalur to impacting more than 500 rural villages. Our interventions focus on education, health, women empowerment, agriculture, child protection and sustainable development.
VIKASANA was born out of a strong commitment to uplift the socially, economically and educationally disadvantaged sections of society. Since its inception, our focus has been on identifying the real needs of rural communities and delivering grassroots solutions. From launching Bridge Schools for deprived children to forming women SHGs and Farmer Producer Companies, we continue to work towards inclusive and sustainable development.
